You should be able to enjoy a game without becoming a product. Here’s how Games for Them works today.
What the app doesn’t collect.
The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, accounts, database, or forms asking for personal information. It doesn’t set cookies or build visitor profiles, and I don’t sell personal information.
There are no third-party scripts or embedded content. Loading pages and assets makes the requests needed to deliver the site. The games don’t send your cards, moves, or elapsed time to a server.
What stays in your browser.
Solitaire and FreeCell run in your browser. Cards, moves, and elapsed time stay in the current page’s memory and are not uploaded. Game progress is lost when you reload or leave the game page. The app doesn’t use local storage or a browser database to save games or personal information.
Your light or dark mode choice lasts while you navigate the site. It resets when you reload and is not saved in cookies or local storage.
The site’s navigation framework uses session storage in your browser for things like restoring scroll position when you return to a page. This supports navigation. It isn’t used for advertising or visitor profiles.
Hosting and technical errors.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes the network requests needed to deliver the website and may maintain operational or security logs. This page describes the application’s behavior. It isn’t a promise that the hosting infrastructure keeps no records. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its data practices.
The app itself doesn’t set cookies. Depending on the hosting features enabled, Cloudflare may use cookies for security or traffic management. Its cookie documentation describes those features.
When an unexpected server error occurs, the app logs technical details, including the affected route and error information, to help diagnose problems. These logs aren’t used to build advertising profiles.
Links to other sites.
Following the developer’s GitHub link on the About page takes you off Games for Them and onto GitHub. The Cloudflare links and Stripe contribution links also take you to external sites. Each provider’s own privacy practices apply when you visit its site.
Optional contributions.
Support links open a Stripe-hosted checkout in a new tab for an optional one-time contribution. Playing games will never require a contribution.
Stripe collects the payment and contact information needed to process your contribution. Depending on your payment method, this may include your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. Payment details are entered on Stripe, not in this app.
As the recipient, I may receive contribution records through Stripe, such as your name or email, the amount, date, and payment status, for managing contributions and accounting. The game app does not receive or store your full card number or security code.
Stripe’s own cookies and privacy practices apply when you visit checkout. Read Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
